Filming begins on MOULD the Web Series!

Mould centres on Macy and Arthur, a young couple who live in Western Sydney and are faced with a series of obstacles following Arthur’s declaration he is gay and Macy’s realisation she is trans. Suddenly what was the beginning of the end might actually be the start of something more beautiful…

Filming is underway on Still Searchin’ Productions’ latest project Mould, a comedy web series written and produced by SSP’s Jonathan Chapman. The series follows a crazy ensemble cast (our biggest to date!) as they juggle dramas, hurdles and everything else in between.

Mould has been bubbling away in the back of my mind for over five years” Jonathan says. “It is a chaotic and hopefully comedic glimpse into real life. Sure, we have the main couple and their close friends getting into hilarious situations, but what the story is really about is change, and identity, and worlds colliding.”

SSP’s Ross Page is directing and shooting the entire pilot episode, teaming up with local assistant directors in the coming weeks. First cab off the ranks (and setting a mighty high standard!) was local filmmaker Yesim Kusdogan, who kept us all on our toes and everything running smoothly for our first and second weekend shoots. Dulce Aguilar will join us on set in the coming weeks.

Filming is expected to wrap in mid-September following a series of shoots throughout Western Sydney – including Toongabbie, Parramatta, Rydalmere, Holsworthy, St Marys and Mulgoa.

Follow Still Searchin’ Productions online to stay up to date with the latest happenings on set with the cast and crew of Mould.

Mould’s pilot episode is due to be released in 2018 and will spearhead a crowdfunding campaign to support the making of the full web series. Stay tuned for more details! SSP would like to extend a sincere thank you to Plus Medical Clinic, Lena Kasparian, and 14 short street for generously allowing us access to film within your sites and seal the deal - authenticity is everything! And to Daniel, our very friendly host at our Toongabbie location, you made the entire team smile with your positivity and kindness. Cheers!
